Interestingly, in light of the readiness, safety and surety of food supply for an infant or toddler in the event of natural disasters or tragic circumstances, a mother and nursing infant also benefit from the relationship of nursing during these times.
ReplyDeleteA mother must needs stay calm, her hormones and the desire to do good for her child are vibrant in her and increase her ability to "be on the child's side" during times of distress. It affects the mother and child to be poignantly aware of the impact she has on the child's well being.
